Qualifications

For GS-6: Possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience to perform the duties of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been gained at least the equivalent of the next lower grade level of (GS-5) in Federal service. Specialized experience is providing administrative and technical direction in the requisition, procurement storage and issuance of office supplies and other administrative equipment such as office machines and filing equipment; and providing accurate and timely mail, printing, and document imaging support. OR For GS-7: Possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience to perform the duties of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been gained to at least the equivalent of the next lower grade level of (GS-6) in Federal service. Specialized experience is providing administrative and technical direction in the requisition, procurement storage and issuance of office supplies and other administrative equipment such as office machines and filing equipment; performing mail handling procedures i.e. process checks, registered mail, and express mail etc.; and identifying and resolving issues and recommending process improvements. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
