Manages related data and systems, supports assessment efforts, and collaborates with academic colleges and campus partners to ensure effective delivery of these key components of the university's orientation and transition programs, fostering student success, inclusion, and belonging.<h4><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span></font></h4><p><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">NSR Logistics and Communication</span></font></p><ul><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Oversee all logistics of the NSR program including scheduling space reservations, parking, database management, student registration, etc.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Build and manage the annual NSR calendar.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Plan, coordinate, and manage registration procedures for NSR (both in person and online).</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Track NSR deliverables and deadlines for campus partners.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Manage conflicts that arise from students regarding NSR registration availability.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Manage changes between cycles each year.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Compile and prepare reports to assist NSFE Director with assessment on department and program goals.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Assist NSFE Director with communication and marketing plan for NSR including website content, email, new student checklist, etc., maintaining clarity and consistency.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Assist NSFE Director in working with colleges to foster a cohesive registration experience across all academic units.</span></font></li></ul><p><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">New Student Online Orientation</span></font></p><ul><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Serve as primary coordinator for New Student Online Orientation course in Canvas.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Assist NSFE Director with development and implementation of New Student Online Orientation modules aligned with program learning outcomes.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Assist the NSFE Director with program strategy development and short-term operational plans and directions.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Implement timelines of projects and tasks related to online orientation.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Manage communications and registrations for online orientation.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Respond to student inquiries, providing individual guidance and troubleshoot technology issues.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Oversee the monitoring of participation of all students providing reports on completion.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Lead assessment of online orientation to evaluate student engagement and measure achievement of established program learning outcomes, using data to inform continuous improvement.</span></font></li></ul><p><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">NSFE Office Support</span></font></p><ul><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Support other orientation and transition programming (Welcome Week, Spring Orientation, etc.) as needed.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Represent NSFE at events and programs around campus when appropriate.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Perform other duties as assigned.</span></font></li></ul><h4><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Minimum Qualifications</span></font></h4><p></p><p><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma"><span style="text-decoration: underline">Education:</span></span></font></p><ul><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Bachelor’s degree. </span></font></li></ul><p><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma"><span style="text-decoration: underline">Experience:</span></span></font></p><ul><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">A total of two (2) years (24 months) in education, training and/or work experience in higher education student services. </span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Demonstrated project coordination or management experience. </span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Data reporting or analytics experience.</span></font></li></ul><h4><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma"> Preferred Qualifications</span></font></h4><p><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma"><span style="text-decoration: underline">Education:</span></span></font></p><ul><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, business administration, or related field.<br></span></font></li></ul><p><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma"><span style="text-decoration: underline">Experience:</span></span></font></p><ul><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Experience working with institutional structures, policies and procedures.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Experience working with university registration systems, such as Banner and Slate.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Experience in Canvas or other LMS systems.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Experience in student services, orientation, or enrollment management.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Experience using data for decision-making and process improvement.<br></span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person, collaborate across teams and build productive professional relationships.<br></span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions in fast-paced setting.</span></font></li></ul><h4><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</span></font></h4><ul><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Knowledge of FERPA regulations and an ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive student records.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with campus partners, faculty, administrators, and students.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Ability to balance interruptions and multiple/varied tasks.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced, positive team style="font-family: Tahoma">This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 5/1/2026.
