Jr. Applications Specialist
GDIT is seeking a motivated Jr. Applications Specialist to provide business process and technical support for business solutions used by functional departments across the organization. This role supports a portfolio of solutions delivered through both SaaS and on-premises deployment models, enhancing business productivity, and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate will support application, manage service requests, and collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT teams to resolve incidents and implement enhancements. You will help maintain application stability, support upgrades and releases, document processes, and contribute to continuous improvements. This position is well suited for early-career professionals looking to build hands-on experience with enterprise systems, business workflows, and IT service management practices in a dynamic environment. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for enterprise business applications (SaaS and on-prem)
- Assist with evaluating and resolving application requests, incidents, escalations, and user-reported issues
- Support integrations, data transfers, and business processing
- Provide support to Operation Leads for business applications
- Identify and support continuous process improvement and AI adoption
- Support data analysis, engineering, and visualization support (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, etc.)
- Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams
- Maintain documentation and knowledge base articles
- Assist with testing, deployments, and release activities
- Assessing, clarifying, and documenting business requirements and processes
- Deliver excellent customer service to business users
